Before launching AMR in 1995, Alan had previously worked in the Estate Agency industry for over 20 years.
Climbing the “career ladder” and eventually becoming a Regional Director, Alan had
by then, personally experienced the positives & negatives of employment, as both employer and employee. He felt that he could offer his experience to the recruitment side of the industry and also thought that he had spotted a gap in the market to establish a group of offices offering national coverage. He launched AMR in September 1995 and strategically based it in the middle of the country, in the West Midlands.
In those days the company was simply Alan, a desk, a telephone, a fax machine and a computer. Today the AMR Group is spread over 13 regional locations.
